Here’s what we’ve put in writing for every patient: you’ll see what we see, you’ll have the price before we begin, and if we ever fall short, we make it right on the spot.

The six promises

These aren’t values. Values are what an office puts on a wall. These are promises, which means each one can be kept or broken, and you get to decide which happened.

If you don’t need treatment, we’ll be the first to tell you.

If we look at something and it’s stable, we’ll tell you it’s stable and we’ll watch it. It’s also the promise that costs us the most money, which is exactly why it’s number one.

You’ll see everything we see, on the screen, in plain English. And you can take the images with you.

Not described to you. Shown to you. If we can’t show it to you, we won’t ask you to fix it.

You’ll have the price in writing before we begin. If anything changes, we stop and tell you first.

Before any treatment starts, you get a written estimate. Nobody at Smile Avenue finds out a number for the first time at checkout.

Have a treatment plan from anywhere? Bring it. We’ll review it with you, straight answer, no charge.

We’ll look at it with you and tell you what we think, at no cost, whether or not you ever become a patient. Sometimes the answer is that the plan is good and you should go do it.

Why I wrote these down

I’ve been told my whole career that I expect too much. They’re right.

Years ago my mother came home from a dental visit with four crowns already scheduled. She wasn’t upset. She had said yes the way you say yes to someone who went to school for it. When I asked what was wrong with the teeth, she couldn’t tell me. Nobody had shown her anything.

She had no way to know whether any of it was true, and nobody in that room was on her side.

So I built the office I couldn’t find. I wrote my standards down, I signed them, and I put them in front of you so you can hold me to them.

These six promises are my standard. They’re yours now too.

Expecting more doesn’t mean expensive.

We want to be clear about what the Standard is and isn’t.

Expecting more means straight answers, prices in writing before we start, and a team that already knows you when you walk in. It doesn’t mean a bigger bill or a fancier waiting room.

These six promises are kept with every single patient who walks through the door. The child in for a first cleaning, the family on a membership plan, the person who hasn’t seen a dentist in ten years, and the patient in the middle of a large case. All six, every one of them, every visit.

High standards for everyone. Not fancy dentistry for a few.

What we bought so we could keep them

Promise 2 only works if we own the machine that takes the picture. Promise 5 only works if your crown never leaves the building.

There’s coffee. There’s a blanket and Netflix if you want them. Those are nice. They are not the reason to come here.

3D CBCT imaging

Full 3D scans of your jaw, taken here. The actual image on the screen next to you instead of a description. Keeps Promise 2.

Scanners & 3D printing

No trays of impression material. A wand, a few minutes, and a model, a surgical guide or a night guard printed here, not ordered out. Keeps Promise 5.

Digital X-rays

Low-dose, on the screen in seconds, turned toward you. Keeps Promise 2.

Our own dental lab

Crowns, veneers and restorations made on site. Nothing is mailed out, nothing waits in a queue at someone else’s bench. Keeps Promise 5.

Pearl AI

A second set of eyes on every X-ray. The software highlights what it sees; then we show you. Keeps Promise 2.

Invisalign

Planned from your own scan, checked by the doctor who already knows your chart. Keeps Promise 5.

Patient portal

Forms, your plan with the price on it, and booking, all from your phone before you walk in. Keeps Promises 3 and 5.

Fair questions

Is the whitening real, or is there fine print?
It’s real. If you feel rushed, unheard, pressured, or confused, tell us before you leave or within 48 hours. You decide whether we fell short. We make it right on the spot and your next in-office whitening is on us, at either office, within 60 days. The one thing it doesn’t cover is normal clinical discomfort, because a procedure being uncomfortable isn’t the same as being treated poorly. It covers how we treated you, which is the part we control. If whitening isn’t right for you, you can give the session to an adult in your family or take a credit of equal value toward your next visit.
What if I feel like a promise was broken after I get home?
Call us within 48 hours. We’d rather hear it late than not at all. Dr. Vuong personally follows up on every one.
Do I have to become a patient to get a second opinion?
No. Bring your plan in, we’ll look at it with you, and you’ll get a straight answer at no charge. If the plan is good, we’ll tell you to go do it.
How do you keep these promises when you get busy?
Every time a patient tells us we fell short, we log which of the six we missed and review it in our weekly team meeting as a system problem, never as a patient problem. That’s why the promises are numbered. It tells us exactly what to fix.
